As we wrap up July, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible strides we’ve made and share some exciting updates with you. NTASR will be featured on Texas Today NBC 5 in the coming days, be on the look out for that!
July Highlights:
This past month has been bustling with activity! In July, we tackled some major challenges and celebrated significant achievements! Our team was deeply involved in rescuing dogs from the Oklahoma Puppy Mill, covering an astounding 13,000 miles in transportation to get these dogs to partner rescues.
We also had a heartwarming success with the adoption of 47 dogs, finding them loving forever homes. Additionally, we began the crucial process of spaying and neutering 30 puppies from the litters whelped in our care earlier this spring, ensuring their health and future well-being. Amidst all this, we joined forces with a local shelter partner to address one of the most severe hoarding situations we have ever encountered, providing critical support and care for those in need.

As we look towards the future, we have some ambitious goals for 2025:
- Hosting FREE community vaccine events
- Creating a calendar of low-cost spay/neuter events and vaccination clinics
- Organizing exciting dog-oriented events
We are committed to advocating for more regulated animal welfare and breeding restrictions in Texas. The overpopulation of animals and the horrendous conditions they often endure are unacceptable, and we are determined to drive meaningful change for these voiceless creatures.

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to our incredible partners who made a significant impact in July. Thanks to your support, we were able to transfer 51 dogs to various rescues after the United States Humane Society released the Oklahoma Puppy Mill dogs into our care.
