Hey hey , šŸ¾

Weā€™re thrilled to have you on board! This bi-monthly newsletter is here to keep you in the loop about all things rescue. Apologies for being a little late this timeā€”things have been buzzing with excitement lately! Ā

In each issue, youā€™ll find updates on recent intakes, adoptions, pending adoptions, upcoming events, and fundraisers. Itā€™s also your handy reminder to request supplies, schedule medical appointments, and share updates about your foster pup. Donā€™t forget to send us photos and a short bio for marketing on our socials and websiteā€”unless your foster is secretly plotting to become a permanent family member. šŸ˜‰ Ā

This January, weā€™re collecting pet kibble for Donā€™t Forget to Feed Me, a pet food bank in urgent need. Their shelves are bare, so letā€™s help them restock! Ā

Behind the Scenes of Rescue:

We ALWAYS Need More Fosters!

The more fosters we have, the more dogs we can saveā€”whether itā€™s pulling them from shelters or keeping them from ever ending up in one. With puppy season upon us, the need for fosters is greater than ever.

Weā€™re especially looking for whelping fosters! If youā€™ve ever thought about taking on this rewarding role, now is the perfect time. Chances are, we have a dog who would be the perfect match for you.

Know someone looking to adopt an Aussie or Corgi? Fostering is a great way to help them find their perfect match while you help a dog rehabilitate and find their forever home. Itā€™s also an incredible opportunity to get to know our organization, assist more dogs in need, and learn so much more about these amazing breeds.

Spread the word and tell all your friends!

If you've had your foster dog for two weeks or more, and they aren't on the adoption page: www.ntxaussierescue.org/adopt

FOSTER RESOURCES

Don't forget if you need to schedule vetting or request supplies that can be done through the FOSTER RESOURCES page.Ā

Please Remember:

  • Puppies <12 Weeks: No interaction with outside dogs or house guests.Ā
  • Going out of town? Please leverage the Foster Facebook Group to see if another Foster is able to keep your foster while you are gone.Ā
  • Meet and Greets: Arrange only through us. All interested parties must have an approved application on file.
  • Vet Appointments: If you can't make it, please inform us 24 hours before. Follow all pre & post-op instructions (no food after 8 PM the night before or the morning of surgery; medication can be given until 10 PM but not on the morning of surgery).
  • Public Outings: Fully vaccinated dogs can visit pet stores & adoption events, but not public dog parks. Ensure they always wear a collar with a rescue tag, harness, and leashes. Children under 12 should not pet foster dogs in public for safety & liability reasons.

Thank you for keeping our foster dogs safe!

We want to hearšŸ‘‚from you!
