Join us at Hollywood Feed in Allen (1314 W McDermott Dr #180) from 1:30–3:30 PM for an afternoon filled with wagging tails and warm hearts. 🐾 Meet some adorable pups (yes, Corgis included! 😍), and help us find their forever homes. Thanks to your support, happily-ever-afters happen every single day! 🏡
👉 Bonus: If we can rally some new fosters, we’ve got Corgis and Aussies waiting in the wings, ready for their chance at forever! Calls and surrender applications have been coming in nonstop—8 just this past week! 😅
Fosters and foster pups (fully vaccinated, of course!) are encouraged to attend these events for added exposure and the opportunity to find their forever families.

Looking to foster but need the right fit for your home? We've got you covered. Our new Trello board is your go-to spot for incoming dogs—owner surrenders, shelter rescues, strays, and more. This tool will help us save more lives by matching dogs with the right fosters faster.
How it works:
Each dog's card includes size, gender, and important details (e.g., not kid-friendly). Everything is searchable in Trello, making it easy to find a dog that fits your home.
Want to foster a specific dog?
- Comment on the card with your interest in fostering or foster-to-adopt.
- Tag "@mentions" so we can connect with you as soon as possible.
Tips & Best Practices:
✔ Tag team members using @mentions for quick responses.
✔ Turn on notifications to stay updated.
✔ Use labels (if enabled) to filter dogs by temperament or needs.
✔ Respect privacy – This board is for NTASR fosters only. Please do not share access.

March Heartworm Prevention - NTASR provides heartworm treatment for your foster dog. Please note that puppies will not receive heartworm treatment until they are over 6 months old. - PLEASE Fill out the Medical Request Form & we will get HW prevention mailed to you! Alternatively, if you will be at an adoption event, we are able to distribute HW to you there.
** If you have requested HW Meds please note that these are for dogs 50-100#s. If your foster is less than 50#s please give HALF a tablet. Save the other half for next month!

Important Reminders for Foster Care:
If you've had your foster dog for two weeks or more, and they aren't on the adoption page: www.ntxaussierescue.org/adopt
PLEASE use our FOSTER INTAKE FORM. This will allow you to get all the information we need to us, bio, personality traits, as well as photos!
Don't forget if you need to schedule vetting or request supplies that can be done through the FOSTER RESOURCES page.
Please Remember:
- Puppies <12 Weeks: No interaction with outside dogs or house guests.
- Going out of town? Please leverage the Foster Facebook Group to see if another Foster is able to keep your foster while you are gone.
- Meet and Greets: Arrange only through us. All interested parties must have an approved application on file.
- Vet Appointments: If you can't make it, please inform us 24 hours before. Follow all pre & post-op instructions (no food after 8 PM the night before or the morning of surgery; medication can be given until 10 PM but not on the morning of surgery).
- Public Outings: Fully vaccinated dogs can visit pet stores & adoption events, but not public dog parks. Ensure they always wear a collar with a rescue tag, harness, and leashes. Children under 12 should not pet foster dogs in public for safety & liability reasons.
